I'd rather have socks that were too big than too small!Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07412512129032742932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9582372.post-1145916925460128952006-04-24T18:15:00.000-04:002006-04-24T18:15:00.000-04:00I think they look great! Even if they end up being a little big, that can still be okay. I have some socks that are big and I wear with some of my shoes that are also too big and some socks that are too small that I wear with other shoes. It's all good!alisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12615286089938384657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9582372.post-1145555634079146672006-04-20T13:53:00.000-04:002006-04-20T13:53:00.000-04:00I say that you should leave it like it is. I would hate for you to frog it when you've done so much work! They look so pretty!! Just keep plugging along with the other one.

But after saying all that, I know you and you'll want to be happy and I know how you are that you won't be happy until you know that your sockpal will be happy and we won't know that until you finish the other one and mail them off!!

Go for it and leave 'em big! I'm sure they will shrink with time. Be brave, be very brave. Plus, the recipient will still appreciate it even if they're slightly big. jeniferknits.blogdrive.comjenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12376358444360250511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9582372.post-1145546751484026622006-04-20T11:25:00.000-04:002006-04-20T11:25:00.000-04:00First off, I think the sock is gorgeous no matter ...First off, I think the sock is gorgeous no matter what. Secondly, abigail is right, the socks do fit differently when you put them on a 3-dim foot, plus I noticed my socks get smaller with time, ESPECIALLY the superwash. My lorna's shrunk a good few inches the first time through the wash. With all that said,if you're not happy you're not happy, and if you need to rip them out the get there, more power to ya! I know you'll get it done!Knitty Gritty Thoughtshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16058080736290909645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9582372.post-1145538256470797392006-04-20T09:04:00.000-04:002006-04-20T09:04:00.000-04:00Well you will not be happy with them if you leave ...Well you will not be happy with them if you leave it like it is. I would run them through the dryer to make sure you are not going to rip for nothing. If that still leaves you too long and you have found someone to try them on and they are still too big. Then I would find a new home for them and make something else for your pal. Or put in a life line in the foot somewhere and rip back then rework the foot shorter. Hope it works out for you. And if you are worried about time e-mail your pal I am sure she will understand and not be upset if they are late!Nyxxiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12913380884990167311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9582372.post-1145508510814629782006-04-20T00:48:00.000-04:002006-04-20T00:48:00.000-04:00I say...send them to Megan, who has big feet and t...I say...send them to Megan, who has big feet and totally loves them :)Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06561912884313797208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9582372.post-1145498575119908712006-04-19T22:02:00.000-04:002006-04-19T22:02:00.000-04:00Don't forget that you are measuring them flat. It'll give them shrinking room. They are lovely and obviously took lots of work. I think they will be fine.knittingnursehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11441051513207658894noreply@blogger.com
