Good sock bad news...

So the good news is I finished my first Chutes and Ladders sock. The bad news is that it is too tight for the bub..... But it does fit on the booty... LOL here's some pix of it I took many while trying to hold a squirming 8 month old down! LOL pretty funny the sock is super long on her.

I figured all that work may be worth it if she wants to play with it. She's always trying to eat my yarn so I gave her a sock instead. I'm so depressed that it didn't work out. Why didn't I think to see if it was big enough? I thought it stretched out enough obviously not enough to fit over a 5 year old's heel...HMMM I'm taking a break and I'm not sure if I'll even be meeting the deadline for that. Bummer I wanted to qualify for the prize... I may try a different weight yarn...I don't know I'm too upset right now to try again!

ok I'm off to do something else just wanted to update ya'll TTYL
happy knitting...

Sorry to hear that. It's really a pretty sock. Is it the cast on edge that is the problem? If so, there must be a way to fix it up.

I came over through your link in your 6-sock post, i wanted to visit your sock pic.

It's such a pretty sock!! It pains me that you must frog it, so i can only imagine how you feel!

I see from your pics that you've purchased some of the Knit Picks yarns that i've been drooling over. As a newer knitter like me, were you happy with your purchase?

I only ask because i bought some Rowanspun 4-ply from another site and was shocked when it came and it was so thin. I'm a bit affraid to order again online without having first seen a brand in person...i'm such a yarn novice! ;)

I used to have one of these! Make a piggy bank out of it! Take either a plastic coffee lid or an orange juice lid and cut a square hole in the middle. Then punch a hole towards the top. Next you place the lid in the top of the sock. Then you thread through the hole in the top and through the sock and hang. You then can place change in the mouth of the lid! The one that I had had a piggy face done in ceramic But this can be made out of anything! Oh I have also see little change purses out of socks you just sew the change purse hardward around the mouth of the sock! Have fun with your disaster! They can be blessings in discuise!
