Sockapaloooza update....

today is brought to you by feet.
And as we all know some feet like socks... Not the ones in the pix though, at least not considering I keep finding the booty sockless and socks all around the house... LOL
anyways the feet I'm knitting these socks for likes socks I hope. I hope they fit her. I'm worrying again about the look and size. I hope my pal likes the socks and that they fit... Does anyone else go thru this anxiety when they're knitting for other knitters? EEEK how do we get over it?

once I got the pattern down it goes super fast. And it's really easy. I plan on making this pattern again. For those of you just tuning in... I'm knitting the Pomatomus pattern from Knitty. It's really great.

here's the side view. What do you think?

The socks look great! I am thinking of trying that pattern sometime. Is it easy?

I get anxious that my knitting won't be as good as the other knitters, or that it will fall apart (like a knot not being tied right, or an end woven in will come out or whatever)...I've only made a scarf for a friend of mine who knits so far, but I still worry about these things. I think that's why I have shied away from these KAL's where you knit for other knitters...what if my sock (or whatever) isn't good enough, or doesn't fit, or they find a mistake in it...

I think we all torment ourselves, when it comes to sock swaps. (I know I do.) Simply because we truly want to bless the other person and we want them to be pleased with the gift we have made for them. I know she will like it because it was made with love. And that dear friend is what makes these swaps special. What more could a sock pal want?

That is a perfect match of color&pattern! There's no doubt that your pal is going to LOVE them!!
I'd been thinking about doing the Potomatus pattern myself, but I was a little intimidated by all the twisted stitches, which I'm not very fond of...

Wow, the color is just eyecatchingly beautiful! And the pattern too! So pretty together! They are wonderful, your sockpal will love them. I always go through a big worry when I'm knitting for another knitter, but I finally just have to say, hey, it's the best i can do and that's all I can do! =)Good luck!

Your socks are beautiful. I love the yarn you chose. Your pal will love 'em (they stretch a lot so they are bound to fit). I have a bad case of second sock syndrome so I only have one of my pair yet. I got completely stressed thinking I was going to run out of yarn and now I can't bring myself to do the second one.

I think the sock is perfect! I am knitting this pattern right now and after 1 mishap I sailing through this sock. When I was knitting my sockpal sock I was so anxious, would she like the color I picked out, would she like the pattern. Would it fit her! It got to the point where I just had to let go and knit the sock. So that is what I did and now it is done for better or worse.
