Hey Hot stuff.....

Can you guess what I made yesterday and the day before? go a head guess...I'll give you a hint. It's really good with crackers and cream cheese. I made 3 batches. The first I messed up and it didn't set. I have to remember to actually read directions and follow them! So I took the messed up stuff to my tops group and gave them away. The 2nd and 3rd set fine....
I've made these for fathers day for my dad and my FIL. I am trying to figure out what to do with the rest of it all..Yes canning is so addictive! I couldn't stop myself. And I even have more in my fridge if I decide to make a 4th batch. Not to mention I'm obsessive and I had to fix what I messed up the first time so I had to make it again to make sure I can do it.. Which is where the 3rd batch came from. The 2nd was a low sugar recipe. I figure I'll send some to family but that still leaves me with some.
Any ideas?

OOOO I know what you mean. I started canning last year and I went hog wild.

I have my Grandmother's bread and butter pickle recipe. I made so many cans of them and it's a good thing I did. I can't tell you how many people asked for more.

Now last year I lived in a SMALL town and it got around that I was the pickle girl. I had people I had never met asking me for pickles.

I'm actually glad we don't live there this summer :-)

I have a case of pickleing cukes on order for me.

I'll have to send you some one they are made up!

Oh and I love the fabric that you put on the lids. Did you leave the edges raw, or did you hem them?

I may steal your idea!

Allena ~ Here in New Mexico what you made is a food staple! We put chili on everything! (eggs, pizza, hambugers!) We even have an offical chili question! (Red or Green!) (Really it's true ~ It's the official state question of New Mexico!) Have fun with your chili! How about takeing it to your Women's Bible Study or Retreat!

What a clever idea to use that fabric for your jelly! A friend gifted us with some pepper jelly last year and I hope to make some myself this year with my hubby's (hopefully!) bumper crop. Can you share where you got your recipe?
